While not an actual “program”, the first step in the process is of course, purchasing the 3D printers and we can help - intentional3D is an authorized reseller for two of the finest desktop machines available on the market, MakerBot and Zortrax. We realize however, that there are other 3D printers available that you may be interested in, or you may have already purchased one. We would prefer that you create a program using one of our 3D printer brands, primarily because we use these printers every single day in our own 3d printing services, and we are experts in their operation and upkeep. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter which 3D printer you have in place, ours, a competitors or your own – we have never met a 3D printer we didn’t like, or couldn’t work with!
The critical beginning for any 3D printing program is getting the machine set up and functioning properly, and ensuring that the people who will be using it have a basic knowledge of the operation procedures. intentional3D offers an initial setup and training class that covers subjects such as: unboxing and set up of the 3D printer, calibration, leveling the build plate, loading and unloading the filament, how to send software files to the machine, and ongoing operation techniques. This training is best accomplished at your facility, but if logistics are an issue, we also offer this program at our Seattle office.
